Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Yesterday I saw a post on FB which stated, on Judgment Day there will be only two kinds of people, those who believe in Christ and those who do not believe.
We are all deceived to believe anyone who simply believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved. The problem is not with the scripture but with the translation language. I have mentioned earlier that Greek verbs have what we call as TVM (Tense, Voice, Mood) which tells us exact detail of what is to be done in natural, mental and spiritually. So believing is not simply acknowledging.
In Greek believe/faith has 5 stages hope, trust, believe (little faith), faith and authority. We grow from hope to authority and those who have authority are called Sons of God. Most of us fluctuate between hope, trust and little faith, very few have faith and none have grown to the state of authority.
When it comes to Christians we have many who are fans of Christ and few are disciples of Christ. All of us Christians love Christ and are passionate of Him but few actually follow Him. If we understand scriptures then the actual quantity of the few will shock us. It is no joke that Paul said work your salvation with fear and trembling for he knew that which is written. On Judgment Day those believing (who knew Christ) will be judged and not those who do not (rejected Him).
Today’s scriptures talks of doers of the Lord’s Commandments and of the non-doers. It is not to be confused with being a sinner or not being a sinner. Those who do His mission may be less sinners since the sin nature starts to die as they work in His Vineyard, saving souls, but then a sinner is a sinner irrespective of the quantity (even the best need Him). Being a doer is about doing the Will of the Father, the mission that Christ gave us, for as we do the Will we get transformed from within and get restored the image of God in us (becoming again Sons of God).
Lord You are Almighty Holy God. You Lord are Spirit and You desire transformation in the Spirit. You justify those who work towards being transformed from within. You do not get deceived with the external actions or by words. Lord we pray we seek internal transformation which comes from being a doer of your Commandment…
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Luke 9:23 And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
