Gospel of Christ the Gospel of Gentiles : We are Testifiers for the Glory of God

Romans 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Some days back someone had shown me Revelation 14:6 and spoke of another Gospel that will be revealed in the ‘End Times’. When I asked the person the meanings of the words ‘everlasting Gospel’ used in that scriptures, he got confused himself. The word ‘everlasting’ means eternal – that was, is and will be. Secondly the word ‘Gospel’ means ‘Good News’ – now what was the Good News – it was about salvation (eternal life – available only to those dwell in / have access to Upper Heavens) which was impossible was made possible by Jesus Christ the mediator through His Holy Spirit. He tried to mislead with scriptures like John 17:3 which states knowing the true God is eternal life. But then he realized later it is one of the conditions required to enter the Upper Heavens.

The second part of today’s scripture summons the whole Gospel in a few words, “that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit”.

The word ‘offering’ means ‘presentation’, the word ‘Gentiles’ symbolizes lost sheep, the word ‘sanctify’ means to make holy – make perfect.

None of us were found perfect before the coming of Christ including those who called themselves ‘God’s people’ were counted as lost sheep. We see Jesus called the Jews (who did not fully believe Him) as children of Satan and murders of the Men of God (Messengers whom God sent). What they did was not actually/physically murder the Men of God but tried to kill the message sent through them. When someone kills the purpose of the person then they kill the person.

Today’s scriptures put the whole Gospel in a nutshell of how we are presented as a bride to become one with the Father after becoming one with the Son, through the sanctification process of the working of the Holy Spirit in us, whom we receive by our faith in the sacrifice of sins by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us understand there is only one Gospel and the core of that Gospel is what today scripture talks of and anyone preaching anything contrary to this core message is not preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Galatians says the Gospel was given to Abraham that ALL THE NATIONS (not just the people who called themselves Israel) would be blessed.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty God. You God are Merciful God. You Lord make a way for man to become a part of You through the redemption of man. You humbled yourself as man and paid the penalty of our sins so as to make peace between man and God, so that man receives your Spirit. It is through the transformation by the working of the Holy Spirit that sanctifies us and makes us presentable to be one with You. Lord we thank You for your everlasting Gospel…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

John 8:42-45

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not.

Galatians 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before [them] all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, [saying,] In thee shall all the nations be blessed.

Genesis 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant [is] with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Galatians 1:9 As we have said before, so say I now again, if any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema (accursed).
